Maintenance-Free Lifestyle And Superbly Equipped Single-Family Homes Enchant Buyers At Deer Park Estates
Couple Finds Lots To Love About New Luxury Single-Family And Townhome Community By Red Seal Homes
Deer Park, IL - (January 12, 2007) - When Lisa and Marc Green first found out about Deer Park Estates, Red Seal Homes’ luxury single-family and townhome enclave in north suburban Deer Park, they liked everything about the community, although moving from their home in nearby Kildeer wasn’t on their mind. But as they investigated further and learned that Deer Park Estates would offer a maintenance-free lifestyle and that the single-family designs were similar in layout to their existing home, they began to think this community would be a great place to live. Deer Park Estates is being developed by Red Seal Homes, with 11 single-family homes priced from the $580s and 61 luxury townhomes starting in the $450s.
“When Marc and I started to find out more about Deer Park Estates and the way the community would be set up with a maintenance-free lifestyle, we began to think that it made sense for us to purchase at this community. We have an estate home in Kildeer and the thought of not having to worry about outdoor landscape maintenance held appeal for us,” Lisa said. “When we studied the single-family floor plans, we also liked that the layouts were similar to our existing home and that they were pretty much fully equipped, with the kinds of options that other builders charge extra for.”
Deer Park Estates is conveniently located at the corner of Long Grove and Quentin Roads, just west of Route 12, in Deer Park. This beautiful neighborhood of luxury two-story townhomes and large single-family homes is set in a quiet enclave, accented by professional landscaping; a pond; a walking path and gently winding streets.
Marc and Lisa decided they indeed wanted to live at Deer Park Estates and purchased one of the handful of single-family homes offered at the community. They will be among the first residents to move in, when their home is ready next fall.
The single-family homes at Deer Park Estates are available in two floor plans sized at 2,201 and 3,116 square feet. One plan has a first floor master suite. The homes have three to four bedrooms; 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 baths; luxury master suites; full basements and two-car attached garages. Walkout and lookout basement options are available, per site selection. Wooden 12’ x 10’ decks are standard.
For townhome buyers, Red Seal also offers spacious townhomes at Deer Park Estates in eight different floor plans. The townhomes are sized from 1,891 to 2,781 square feet and include three bedrooms; 2-1/2 baths; wooden decks; full basements and two-car attached garages. Two of the townhome plans include a first floor master suite. Homes with English and walkout basements are also available on select sites.
“My brother is a builder in Chicago and told us Red Seal is a very reputable builder of high quality homes. His recommendation, coupled with the great location of Deer Park Estates and the beautiful home designs, made perfect sense to us,” said Lisa.
The Greens chose a DP-2 single-family plan, a spacious 3,116 square foot two-story, with four bedrooms; 3-1/2 baths; formal living and dining rooms; a large center island kitchen with breakfast room open to the family room; full basement and a two-car attached garage.
Additional luxury features of this model include a Butler’s pantry serving the dining room, a first floor laundry/mudroom with access to the garage and walk-in closets in two of the three secondary bedrooms. A deluxe master suite showcases his and hers walk-in closets and a private bath with dual vanities; soaking tub; walk-in shower and water closet.
In the DP-2, one of the secondary bedrooms is designed as a guest suite with its own private full bath. The other two secondary bedrooms share a Jack ‘n Jill bath.
“Another thing that we both liked about the DP-2 floor plan is that it is very similar to our current home’s layout, but on a somewhat smaller scale. We felt comfortable with the design and just loved the flow. We also really liked the character of the exterior styling, with the distinctive European look,” Lisa said.
The word ‘distinctive’ is almost an understatement when the architectural details of both the townhomes and single-family homes at Deer Park Estates are talked about. The homes include dramatic rooflines with curved eaves and textured architectural shingles; arched openings; carriage door style garage doors; decorative metal-framed balconies and rusticated stone chimneys. This European design theme blends in with the landscape layout that Red Seal has created for the Deer Park Estates neighborhood.
The community covers 14-acres, with a large pond and adjacent wetland providing relaxed views from many of the homes. A 10’ wide bike path is another neighborhood amenity. The nearby Deer Park bike path system also provides opportunities for recreation.
“Another fantastic feature of Deer Park Estates is the incredible location. There are great schools here, nice parks and the Deer Park Town Center,” Lisa said. “I love to walk and I will be able to walk almost anywhere I need to in the area. Being so convenient to the town center will also be great for dining out or going to the movies.”
Deer Park Estates is served by quality schools that are part of the Lake Zurich School District 95, including Quentin Elementary, Lake Zurich Middle School and Lake Zurich High School.
The Greens’ have one child, two-year-old Logan, who will have his own bedroom in their new home. Marc works from home, so he will use one of the secondary bedrooms as a home office, with the other secondary bedroom set up for guests.
The couple has enjoyed working with Red Seal and have really appreciated the ideas and help of Red Seal’s designer. “Red Seal has been great to work with and we really get along with their designer, who has assisted us in selecting the colors and finishes for our home,” said Lisa. “We have also been impressed with the high quality included features that come with our home.”
A sampling of the luxury features at Deer Park Estates are a choice of hardwood or 12” x 12” ceramic tile flooring for the foyers; kitchens; breakfast rooms and powder rooms. All bath and utility floors also include 12” x 12” ceramic tile.
The interiors are outfitted with painted solid-core six-panel doors with premium satin nickel lever hardware; decorator light fixtures; berber or plush wall-to-wall carpeting and a Majestic fireplace with ceramic surround and hearth in the great room or living room, per plan.
Each kitchen includes granite countertops with 4” high self-edge backsplash in an array of decorator colors. 42” Merillat cabinets, large pantries and Kohler plumbing fixtures including a stainless steel undermount sink with designer pullout faucet are featured. The deluxe stainless steel appliance package includes a GE refrigerator with cold-water dispenser; 30” self-cleaning range; microwave oven with vented hood; multi-cycle dishwasher and ½ horsepower garbage disposal.
The master baths include a 5’ soaking tub and separate shower (per plan); ceramic tile shower walls; double bowl white Corian vanity tops with Kohler cast iron undermount sinks and furniture quality vanities; ceramic tile floors and Kohler fixtures. The hall baths and powder room are similarly equipped.
“Marc and I are looking forward to living at Deer Park Estates. The community’s location, easy-living maintenance-free lifestyle and quality features all make sense to us. When it is complete, Deer Park Estates will be a very nice neighborhood with a good mix of homes. This is the third home we have built and it’s been a good, positive experience,” Lisa said.
