Buyer Adores New Luxury Condominium Near Downtown Palatine At Enclave At Quentin Pointe
Mother And Son Enjoy Maintenance-Free Lifestyle And Convenient Location At Red Seal Homes’ Condominium Community
Palatine, IL - (March 28, 2007) - When Holly Blodgett decided to move to the Enclave at Quentin Pointe, Red Seal Homes’ luxury condominium near downtown Palatine, she was excited. Her large tri-level townhome in Schaumburg was taking up too much of her time and she was looking forward to downsizing into a brand new condominium that would be near to her son’s high school and also close to her job. As one of the first buyers at Quentin Pointe, Holly and her son moved into their new home just after the first of the year and have been enjoying getting established in this beautiful luxury condominium. Quentin Pointe has just five homes remaining for sale, each outfitted with a selection of high-quality features. There are 42 total condominiums at Quentin Pointe, with the remaining homes priced from $319,900. A decorated model is open for tours during regular sales center hours.
“My townhome in Schaumburg had gotten too big for my needs and with my son getting ready to go off to college, a smaller home made sense to me. I wanted to stay in the Schaumburg-Palatine area and considered quite a number of different places. Quentin Pointe really had the features I wanted – a one level layout, proximity to water and the ability for me to design my home the way I wanted to. Since moving in, I can say everything worked out as I hoped it would,” said Holly.
The Enclave at Quentin Pointe features a great location at the corner of Quentin and Palatine Roads in Palatine. This four-story brick condominium building showcases architectural design elements like limestone accents, arched topped windows and private balconies, overlooking the Margreth Reimer Reservoir and Palatine Park District land.
The final homes are each two bedroom, two bath layouts ranging in size from 1,358 up to 1,782 square feet. Final phase pricing starts at $319,900 and ranges up to $399,900. All of the remaining homes have an immediate delivery.
The condominiums have spacious eat-in kitchens, large great rooms, dens (per plan), in-unit laundry facilities with storage and private balconies. Each plan also includes a luxury master suite with full bath and walk-in closet. One indoor heated parking space is included with each home, with ample additional outdoor parking.
Deluxe standard amenities for each home include hardwood or ceramic tile in the kitchen, breakfast area and entry foyer, ceramic tile bathroom floors, satin nickel lever door hardware and individual gas forced air heating and central air conditioning.
The kitchens highlight granite countertops with 4” high backsplash, 42” custom quality cabinetry and stainless steel GE appliances including a refrigerator and microwave oven. Master baths feature whirlpool tubs along with large walk-in showers with built-in seats, both with ceramic tile surrounds. Vanity tops are solid surface Corian with integral bowls on top of kitchen-height Merrillat vanities.
Holly couldn’t have asked for a better location than what Quentin Pointe offered her. Backing to the reservoir and its walking paths was a huge plus, along with being just a mile from her son Bert’s high school and also close to her job. Being close to downtown Palatine and its great dining and shopping was an added attraction.
“Another feature about Quentin Pointe that appealed to me was the reputation of Red Seal. They are a third generation company that has an excellent standing and I felt confident that I would be able to work with them in the design of my home,” Holly said.
Holly selected the Amberley floor plan, a one bedroom, one bath layout with a den and an open center island kitchen with great room. This plan measures 1,117 square feet and includes a private balcony plus a master bedroom with walk-in closet.
During the construction of the Quentin Pointe building, Holly worked closely with Red Seal to customize her floor plan and its included amenities. She moved the entryway of the den, which is used as her son’s bedroom and also added a fireplace with a beautiful black and white marble mantle in the great room. Holly used her talents in art and floral design to create custom backsplashes for the kitchen and bath.
“I love to bake and play golf with my son and I designed custom tile and granite backsplashes in the kitchen, along with specifying a larger range. I also designed my own backsplashes for the bathroom. Red Seal already offered lots of choices for my home, but being able to take it one step further was something I really appreciated,” said Holly.
Her new condominium showcases hardwood floors in the main living areas, ceramic tile in the bath with marble vanities and granite counters in the kitchen. Holly had the fireplace designed so it would bump into the master bedroom slightly, creating the perfect spot for a built-in desk. Working with Red Seal on the changes to her home was a positive experience and she says the communication from the company was great, especially appreciating the way she was kept informed of the progress.
Quentin Pointe features a fitness room open for residents to use free-of-charge and Holly has enjoyed using this facility. The common areas both inside and outside the building have also impressed her.
“The fitness equipment is top of the line and it’s very convenient to be able to have something like this available within the building. The lobby is nicely decorated and looks great. I walk the property every day and really enjoy the beauty of the water and the walking paths,” she said.
Holly has been very active since moving into Quentin Pointe, becoming President of the newly formed condominium board. She loves the convenience of being so close to downtown Palatine and has met her brothers and sisters there for dinner. Being just a mile from her work has also been a nice bonus.
As Holly and her son continue to get settled in their new condominium at Quentin Pointe, she can reflect on her experience in customizing her home and the beautiful end result. “I am absolutely pleased and thoroughly delighted with how great it all turned out. This location is perfect, as it’s close to our friends and close to everything else in our lives. The home is wonderful inside and out. It all came together to be just what I wanted,” Holly said.
